| Abstract | The article assesses the importance of assessing ecosystem services not only across natural but also administrative boundaries, and taking into account environmental management structures in ecological and economic studies. Based on a previously tested methodology, a number of ecosystem services were assessed in the South Siberian macroregion, representing the results of activities in the main nature-dependent sectors – agriculture (the value of arable land, hayfields and pastures), forestry (timber supply), recreation and tourism (natural conditions for the development of recreation and tourism), as well as the value of carbon sequestration by ecosystems. According to the assessment, the value of ecosystem services is distributed unevenly; in most areas, soil fertility is the most valuable of the assessed services, while in some areas, natural conditions for the development of recreation and tourism and carbon sequestration are the most valuable. It was revealed that natural conditions in combination with infrastructural factors determine the existing structure of the value of ecosystem services of the territory, in connection with which three types of the structure of the value of ecosystem services are distinguished – agrarian-oriented (Altai Krai, Omsk, Novosibirsk regions), forestry with climate regulation functions (Kemerovo region), recreational with climate regulation functions (Altai Republic). The obtained data, in connection with their detailing at the level of municipal districts, will allow improving and deepening the existing investment passports, ensuring the necessary interaction of science and management in nature management |
